Catch up from a long while back...

Hi!    Those of you who follow The Engineers highly technical blogs will understand that he just does not have time for any general workshop waffle so I'm having my own blog so I can put in bits of background stuff and will also add my comments on other things like what is happening at Happisburgh and what it felt like with the high tide belting against my cliff leaving me worrying about whether another of the precious 47 feet that stands between my bungalow and the sea was disappearing. (You can of course, also go straight to the Happisburgh web site to get more official comments on whats happening). Also, because I am a compulsive grower of things I will probably make mention of my battle to grow flowers and vegetables in the frequent near gale force winds which beat off the sea straight onto my garden. I will mention cats occasionally but not as often as I would used to have done because I've just lost my beloved Tolly (there's a lovely vid of him for cat lovers) and now only have Socrates (answers to Socky) who is doing his best to be three cats. I've got a series of pics of him going down the cliff onto the beach to stalk a huge bird which just waited until he was a few feet away then upped and settled twenty yards further on.

Got to go now because I'm just off into Norwich to look after my youngest grand- daughter, Tabitha, while her mother is at my eldest grand-daughter's open evening at school..
